Welcome to Laine Label. This website and online store (the “Services”) are operated by Laine Label Oy (“Laine Label,” “we,” “us,” “our”). We use Shopify to power our store. By visiting, interacting with, or purchasing from the Services, you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”) and our Privacy Policy [link]. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

1. Access and Account

  • By placing an order, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old or have parental/guardian consent.

  • You may be asked to provide information (e.g., name, email, billing and shipping details) to use portions of the Services or to place an order. You warrant such information is accurate and complete and that you have the rights to provide it.

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You may not transfer or sell your account.

2. Products & Availability

  • We aim to display products and colours accurately; actual colours can vary by device settings.

  • Descriptions, pricing, and availability may change without notice. We may discontinue products or limit quantities at any time and to any person, region, or jurisdiction.

3. Orders

  • When you place an order, you make an offer to purchase. We may accept or decline your order at our discretion. Orders are accepted only after we process your payment and send a confirmation.

  • Please review your order carefully before submitting; cancellations might not be possible once accepted. If we cannot accept or must cancel an order, we will attempt to notify you via the contact details you provided.

  • Purchases are for personal/household use only and not for resale or export.

  • Returns and exchanges are handled under our Return & Refund Policy. EU consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal for unused, saleable items in original packaging (exceptions may apply as detailed in the policy).

4. Prices, Taxes & Billing

  • Prices are shown in EUR and include VAT where applicable unless stated otherwise. Taxes, shipping, handling, customs and import charges (if any) are shown at checkout or are your responsibility.

  • Prices, discounts, and promotions may change without notice; the price in your order confirmation applies. Promotion-specific terms prevail over these Terms if there’s a conflict.

  • You must provide current, complete, and accurate purchase and payment information and keep it updated.

  • Payment methods:

    • Shopify Payments (e.g., Visa, Mastercard, AmEx, Apple Pay, Google Pay, etc.).

    • Klarna (Pay in 30 days, Pay in instalments, or financing where available). If you choose Klarna, you agree to Klarna’s terms and privacy notices applicable in your market. See Klarna Terms: https://www.klarna.com; you may also be presented Klarna’s terms at checkout.

  • You represent and warrant that you are authorised to use the selected payment method and that charges will be honoured.

5. Shipping & Delivery

  • Delivery options, costs, and estimates appear at checkout. All delivery times are estimates and not guarantees. We are not responsible for delays caused by carriers, customs, or events outside our control.

  • Title and risk of loss pass to you when we hand the order to the carrier.

6. Intellectual Property

  • The Services and all content (including trademarks, logos, text, images, video, audio, layout, and design) are owned by Laine Label Oy or its licensors and protected by applicable laws.

  • You may use the Services for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, create derivative works, publicly display, distribute, or otherwise exploit content without prior written consent. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

7. Optional Tools

  • We may provide access to third-party tools we do not control and provide “as is” and “as available” without warranties. Your use is at your own risk and subject to the third party’s terms.

8. Third-Party Links

  • The Services may link to third-party sites or embed third-party functionality. We are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices. Access and use at your own risk and review their terms and privacy policies.

9. Relationship with Shopify

Note: Shopify powers our store technology, but your purchase is with Laine Label Oy. Shopify is not responsible for our sales, products, or customer service. You expressly release Shopify and its affiliates from claims arising from your purchases and interactions with Laine Label.

10. Privacy

  • Personal data we collect is governed by our Privacy Policy. Because the Services are hosted by Shopify, certain data related to your use may also be processed by Shopify under Shopify’s privacy policies. Information you submit may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your residence to provide the Services. See our Privacy Policy for more details.

11. Feedback (Reviews, Suggestions)

  • If you submit feedback, reviews, ideas, or similar content (“Feedback”), you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, sublicensable, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, modify, publish, and display such Feedback for any purpose.

  • You represent that you own or control the rights in your Feedback; you will disclose any compensation; and your Feedback complies with these Terms. We may monitor, edit, or remove Feedback we determine unlawful or objectionable.

12. Errors, Inaccuracies & Omissions

  • Occasionally information on the Services may contain errors or omissions (e.g., descriptions, pricing, availability, shipping charges, transit times). We may correct and update information or cancel orders if information is inaccurate, including after an order is submitted.

13. Prohibited Uses

You may not use the Services:

  • for unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purposes;

  • to violate laws or third-party rights;

  • to harass, abuse, defame, intimidate, or otherwise harm others;

  • to transmit malware or spam;

  • to scrape, crawl, or interfere with security or operation;

  • to misrepresent your identity; or

  • in any way that restricts or inhibits others’ use of the Services.
    We may suspend or terminate access for violations.

14. Termination

We may terminate or suspend access to the Services at any time, with or without notice. You remain responsible for charges incurred up to the termination date. Sections that by nature should survive (e.g., IP, Feedback, Disclaimers, Liability, Indemnification, Governing Law) will survive.

15. Disclaimer of Warranties

Except as expressly stated by Laine Label, the Services and all products are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, durability, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free. Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties; in such cases, those limitations apply to the maximum extent permitted by law.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Laine Label Oy and our directors, officers, employees, affiliates, agents, contractors, service providers, and licensors shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or similar damages, including lost profits, revenue, data, or replacement costs, arising from or related to your use of the Services or products. Our aggregate liability for direct damages shall not exceed the amount you paid for the order giving rise to the claim. Mandatory consumer rights under EU/Finland law are not excluded.

17. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Laine Label Oy (and Shopify as applicable), and our affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, contractors, licensors, and service providers from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, violation of law, or misuse of the Services.

18. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held unlawful or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force.

19. Waiver; Entire Agreement

Our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver. These Terms and any policies referenced (including the Privacy Policy and Return & Refund Policy) constitute the entire agreement between you and us and supersede prior understandings.

20. Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations without notice.

21. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland and applicable EU law. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Helsinki, Finland, unless mandatory consumer venue rules provide otherwise. EU consumers may also use the European Commission’s ODR platform: https://ec.europa.eu/odr.

Headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.

23. Changes to Terms

You can review the most current version of these Terms at any time on this page. We may update these Terms from time to time. Where required by law, we will notify you of material changes. Changes take effect on the date specified in the notice or, if none, upon posting. Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance.
